A major international organization managing a large programme to support the reform and strengthening of the health care systems in Nigeria is recruiting qualifies professional staff to fill position based in Lagos. The programme supports the Federal and State Ministries of Health in transforming the health financing, management and delivery of sustainable health services, and represents a major development initiative that seeks to enhance the development policies and strategies and stronger accountability mechanisms

- Significant prior experience working in programme funded by international donors, strongly preferable in the health sector
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, capacity-building, training, organization and management skills
- Ability to work and deliver under intense pressure
- Dedicated team player with demonstrated interpersonal, result-oriented, and decision making skills.
- Ability and willingness to travel frequently to programme sites throughout the State and for Country
The Monitoring and Evaluation/Knowledge Management Officer (Lagos)
- Will provide leadership in managing all aspects of that programmes monitoring and evaluation and knowledge management components in Lagos State.
- S/he will work under the technical guidance and supervisions of the National M&E and KM Advisors on all programmes M&E and KM activities in the State.
- Also, will collaborate with support the State Ministry of Health and other related agencies and stakeholders to strengthen state-level Monitoring & Evaluation and Knowledge Management Systems
- S/he will maintain a comprehensive data base on information for the state level programme
- S/he will serve as key contact for information requests by responding to demands from staff, consultants and all other partners at the state and NCO level, and also assist them to access available sources to synthesize responses to queries
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- Master’s degree in Epidemiology, Statistics, English, Social Sciences or other relevant field.
- Six (6) years of professional experience in monitoring and evaluation, information management or other relevant analytical experience in the health sector.
- Working experience with partner NGOs and CBOs.
- Excellent computer skills, including keyboarding, Microsoft Office (especially) Word, excel and in writing research for publication and presenting research findings to public health and policy professionals
- Proven accuracy in managing information and other organizational data
