MID-CARRIER ECONOMIST at International Monetary Fund (IMF)

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) is planning a Recruitment Mission to Nigeria on November 10, 2009. The Mission will identify suitable candidates for mid-carrier economist pipeline in the Economist Program for recent PhD graduates and other specialist positions. The Federal Ministry of and the Central Bank of Nigeria are coordinating the recruitment exercise on behalf of the IMF.

MID-CARRIER ECONOMIST

The IMF is an international financial institution with competitive service conditions. The institution offers opportunities for professional development with challenging and rewarding assignments.

Applications are invited from suitable candidates to be considered for interview by the IMF Recruitment Team on November 10th, 2009.

Short listed candidates will be required to present themselves for interview at the 11th. Floor, Wing C, CBN Headquarters Building, Cadastral Zone, Central Business District, Opposite the ‘ Christian Centre, Abuja, Nigeria

Qualifications

  • Candidates should hold a doctorate degree in economics, obtained in the last five years (2005-2009). Candidates should not be more than 40 years old at end 2009.

Experience

  • While working experience may not be a key factor in short listing of candidates, it is necessary that candidates are familiar with the developments in the global economy.
