Yorkshire Insurance of UK came to Nigeria in 1953 through an Agent. It had the record of the 1^st Company to grant cover on lives of Nigerians on the same terms as the Europeans. It opened a full-fledged office in Lagos in 1962. Yorkshire was acquired by the Federal Government of Nigeria in 1974 and renamed Niger Insurance. Today Niger is a leading Composite Underwriter in Nigeria: It became quoted on the Nigeria Stock Exchange in 1990. The Federal Government divested her shares in 2002 through the Bureau of Public Enterprises (BPE). Executive Director Operations (DIRECTORATE) Lagos

THE PERSON

1. First degree and Professional Qualification in Accounting.
2. Post graduate degree in Business or Finance.
3. Wide exposure to most of the Financial Services Operations
4. At least 20 years post 1st degree experience

Responsibility

• Managing the overall Finance, HR and Admin jobs of the company on day to day basis
• Overseeing the investment portfolio of the company and its subsidiaries.
• Ensuring adherence to good Corporate Governance rules.
• Experience in insurance business will be an advantage
