A renowned Pension fund Administrator seeks experienced professionals to provide leadership and direction in the position below:

Location; Abuja, Nigeria

Position Description:

The successful candidate will report to the Managing Director/CEO, Investment Management Committee (IMC) and Investment Strategy Committee (ISC), and supervise the Investment Management and the fund Research and Planning functions. He/ She will be responses for the following:

  • Develop and execute organization portfolio management strategy and provide periodic advice on the optimal portfolio mix and individual portfolio components,
  • Recommend asset allocation mix to the IMC in line with ISC approved asset allocation bands,
  • Develop the organization’s investment policies and processes and recommend modifications as required.
  • Vet and approve all investment proposals developed by Investment Managers.
  • Monitor Investments, economic conditions, markets, and portfolio performance with respect to stated investment goals/objectives and make appropriate recommendations to the IMC and ISC
  • Set goals, objective and plans for the division.
  • Coordinate and supervise the activities of division
  • Carry out other duties  as assigned by the Managing Director/CEO and the Board

Specification:

Education Qualification:

  • Minimum of first degree or its equivalent in-a numerate or semi-numerate discipline such as actuarial science, , accounting economics, banking, , , law and business studies.

Professional Qualification

  • A recognized Professional Qualification (e.g. CFA, CFP, CIS, etc) is require

Experience:

  • Minimum of 15 years post qualification experience of which at least 8 must have been in the Sector and 5 years in top/senior management position.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Practical knowledge of asset/funds management
  • In-depth understanding of local and international investment markets.
  • Good knowledge of the Securities (capita), money and Markets.
  • Sound financial acumen with deep knowledge of qualification analysis, economics, portfolio management and asset valuation.
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word PowerPoint, Excel and other spreadsheet applications.
  • Must be responsive, result oriented and have good communication skills
  • Should have excellent leadership and managerial skills.
