Bursar

Duties

The Bursar is the Chief Finance Officer of the University. He is responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the day-to-day administration and control of the financial affairs of the University. By virtue of his position the Bursar should be able to provide the Management of the University with appropriate advice and support for all of the institution’s financial transactions.

Qualifications/Experience

A good honours degree or equivalent in Accountancy or related discipline from a recognized University as well as professionally recognized Accountancy qualification of ACA, ACMA, ACCA, ICAN from any of the following bodies.

1. Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria
2. Institute of Chartered Accountants of England $ Wales
3. institute of Cost and Management Accountants
4. Institute of Certified Public Accountants
5. Association of national Accountants of Nigeria

The possession of any relevant postgraduate qualification will be an advantage Applicants must also be computer literate and have a working knowledge of a good accounting package. The candidate should have a minimum of fifteen (15) years post graduation cognate experience in a University or comparative institution where he/she must have served at the level of Deputy Bursar.

BASIC SALARY:       CONTISS15     (N3, 209, 140)P.a
