IITA, with Headquarters at Ibadan, is an International Agricultural Research Centre in the Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research (CGIAR), which is an association of about 50 countries, International and regional organizations, and private foundations. IITA seeks to increase agricultural production a sustainable way in order to improve the nutritional status and well-being of people in tropical Sub-Saharan Africa.

Accounting Assistant I
Two years renewable
Duties
Successful candidate will:
- Prepare regular statements and billings on CG Inter-centre projects accounts
- Book incoming funds on inter-centre projects and miscellaneous receivables on Oracle software;
- Prepare invoices on miscellaneous receivable
- Computer overhead on Non-core Project (NCPJ).
- Prepare local imprest on regular basis
- Prepare audit schedules for account monitoring
- Analyse IITA accounts into international Livestock Research institute (ILRI) accounts
- Prepare ILRI budget.
- Raise process and review journals related to the above mentioned areas
- Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to by the Chief Financial Officer.
Qualification and Experience:
- ND Accounting and intermediate ICAN Certificate plus at least four years working experience in the Budget/Planning Unit of a large organization.
- He/she must have a sound analytical mind and a good knowledge of Computer Spreadsheet, Oracle applications and must be willing to put in extra hours.
- Candidate must be honest, trustworthy and committed. He /she must be good with figures and be able to work under pressure.
