Position: Reader – Department of Petroleum Engineering
Qualifications
Candidates must have the following qualifications
- B.Sc. Degree in Science of Engineering obtained from a recognized University at a level not lower than the Second Class Lower (Honours).
- M.Sc Degree in Petroleum Engineering
- Ph.D in Petroleum Engineering with specialization in any of the following: Drilling/Well Engineering/Oil Production/Enhanced Oil Recovery/Petroleum Engineering,
- University Teaching and Research experience of not less than ten years
- Candidates must be registered with the Council of Registered Engineers in Nigeria (COREN)
Salary Scale: CONUASS 6(N2, 053,124 X N70, 108N2, 684, 096)
Conditions of Service
The appointment, which is to commence as soon as possible, is for three years initially. It may be extended for specific periods or confirmed to retiring age. Fringe benefits include a Pension Scheme or comparable arrangement as may be approved from time to time by the University Council residential accommodation or housing allowance at an approved rate and passages for approved Overseas Study Leave.
