General Manager, Exploration- Oil and Gas Industry

Our Client is seeking a dynamic and ambitious General Manager (GM) Exploration, to help achieve its growth aspirations both inside Nigeria and elsewhere in Africa\

The GM Exploration will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). He/She will be a key member of the Company’s leadership team and is expected to make major contributions to its future direction and success

He/She will be responsible for identifying and securing new Opportunities: and finding and proving up new resources

The Successful candidate will also be responsible for buildings staff capabilities to establish a top performing exploration team.

Qualification and Experience

• The candidate should have a university degree in Engineering or Physical/Earth Science
• A higher degree in a relevant discipline as well as a Master of Business Administration degree will be an added advantage
• The Ideal candidate will have minimum of 20 years post qualification experience in the upstream oil and gas industry
• Experience should include onshore/offshore oil and gas operations in Nigeria and in other parts of Africa, and applications from Nigeria nationals will be especially welcome.
• He/She must have hands-on technical skills in Geology and Geophysics with marked experience in one or the other
• He/She should have an extensive network of contacts in the industry and be able to articulate clear ideas for pursuing and capturing specific new opportunities
