The Foundation for Public-Private Partnerships, Nigeria (FPPPN) seeks the services of an outstanding individual to serve as the position below based in Abuja, Nigeria. The Foundation of a new non political, non-profit making forum dedicated to advocate and facilitate the private sector involvement and participation in the delivery of public goods and services thereby improving the quality of life the people of Nigeria

The Trustees seek a dynamic and creative individual with impeccable integrity and knowledge in the PPP arena to consolidate the operation of the foundation, track the implementation of strategic beneficial programmes and membership drive of the foundation.

Candidates must be deeply committed to FPPPN, and should bring demonstrated interest, professional experience and a good track record of accomplishments that will satisfy a highly proactive Board.

POSITION:

Executive Secretary reporting to Board of Trustees (BOT)

Key responsibilities

a)      To perform duties as Chief Executive of FPPPN and fully report to the Board Of Trustees

b)      The Executive Secretary will assume responsibilities for visioning, missioning, and roadmaping all activities including administration, capacity building, and setting of the FPPPN goals and objectives all to be ratified by the Board Of Trustees.

c)      Promote and publicize the principles of the foundation, its work, and produce and monitor regulations for memberships.

d)     Develop key relationships with external stakeholders including other PPP Associations, Donor Institutions, Media, NGO’s, Federal State and Local Governments in Nigeria as policy makers,

e)      Liaise and work in concert with members of FPPPN in a continuous development & beneficial PPP in Nigeria.

f)       Develop the modalities for generating revenue.

g)      Responsible for the Budgeting and financial of the FPPPN.

h)      Serve as Secretary of the Board Of Trustees.

i)        Carry out any other activity as directed by the BOT.

QUALIFICATION

This is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned leader and manager to design strategies that will generate positive impact into the Nigerian economy through the deliberate improvements on infrastructures and energy, advise government on development of the Nigerian private sector, train policy makers and decision takers especially at the state and local government levels on PPP opportunities to develop people and the abundant resources using Nigerians.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • At least 5 years of progressively responsible experience, implementing and managing innovative, successful educational, business or professional associations or initiatives with increasing leadership responsibilities.
  • A minimum of first degree in , Engineering, Policy . Public-Private Partnerships (PPP), , Social Sciences, International Development or a related field.
  • A certificate or training in PPP and understanding the operative environment or models of PPP such as DB, BOT, Franchise, Leasing, BBO, DBO, BDO, Concessions, BOO, JV, Privatization and structuring PPP to serve public needs.
  • High personal and professional standards and an impeccable reputation for honesty and integrity.
  • Excellent analytic skills, intellectual curiosity and sound judgment.
  • A superb ability to chart strategic directions that result in clear operational goals.
  • Conversant with ICT and global best practices.
  • Clear demonstration of good character, accountability, transparency and response to rules of .
  • Good communication ability in English and outreach capabilities.
