Duties
The Registrar is the Chief Administrative Officer of the University and responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the day-to-day administrative work of the University except as regards financial matters for which the Bursar is responsible. By virtue of his office, the Registrar is the Secretary to Council, Senate. Congregation and Convocation of the University and shall perform any other duties as may be directed by the Vice-Chancellor or the Governing Council.
Qualifications/Experience
A candidate for the post must possess a good honours degree from a recognized University and must have had, at least, fifteen (15) years of relevant post-qualification cognate experience in a university where he/she must have served at the administrative level and must have attained a position of a Deputy Registrar. He/she must be computer literate. Some formal training in the management of higher education and possession of higher degrees will be an advantage. Candidate should be of good health, sound judgment and pleasant disposition. He/she must possess adequate leadership experience and qualities of dependability and unassailable integrity.
BASIC SALARY: CONTISS15 (N3, 209,140) P.a
