Provost

The Governing Council of the College hereby advertises the vacancy for the post of the below post for interested and qualified candidates to apply.

Duties

  • The is the Chief of the College. He or She is required to provide sound academic, and professional leadership to the College in executing the policies laid dawn by the Governing Council towards the attainment of the mission and vision of the College.
  • He or She shall foster good rapport with the Federal Ministry of , National Commission for Colleges of (NCCE), Trust Fund (ETF) and other bodies that the College relates with for the smooth conduct of its affairs.

Qualifications

  1. Candidates must possess at least a from a recognized University in a field relevant to at least one programme in the College. The possession of a Ph. D is an advantage. The possession of a Professional Teaching Qualification (Nigeria Certificate in ‘NCE’) or Post-Graduate Diploma in () is mandatory.
  2. Candidates must be Chief Lecturers in Colleges of or Readers/Associate in Universities or equivalent Institutions for at least 5 years. Candidates must have also held senior teaching, research and high posts in Tertiary Institutions for at least 15 years.
  3. Candidates must show evidence of commendable academic and leadership as well as professions] standing/honours and funds/research grants attracted.
  4. Candidates must be of good conduct, possess high sense of discipline, dedication drive, resourcefulness in attracting funds to the College. Be able to command the respect and loyalty of the members of staff and students of the College. He or She must be someone who is not likely to promote personal, social, ethnic, political religious and other sectional interests.
  5. Preference will be given to those who have proficiency in ICT

TERMS OF APPOINTMENT

  1. i.            The appointment is for an initial period of four (4) years in the first instance and may be eligible for re-appointment for a second term of four (4) and no more.
  2. ii.            The salary attached to the post is according to a special scheme of service and is consolidated.

18.  Report of medical fitness (from a Government Hospital).

19.  Date available to assume duty if appointed.
