Position: Public Relations and Publicity Officer

Qualifications and Requirements

• B.A. or B.Sc in Mass Communication or Journalism with a minimum of Second Class Lower Division
• Membership of Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) and Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ)
• Possession of higher degree will be an added advantage
• Must be computer literate with proficiency in MS PowerPoint, MS Word, MS Access, MS Excel.
• Minimum of (10) years post qualification cognate experience
• He must be a prolific features and news writer (Evidence to be provided during interview).

Duties

• Keep eye on public opinion  about the University
• Respond to enquiries from the public and other organizations.
• To arrange interviews with journalists system for public presentation in the University.
• Prepare visual aids and public address system for public presentation in the University

• Oversee the production of visual (firm or video) and audio electronic materials. At special occasions I the University
• Accreditation of journalists at University
• Coordinate arrangements for Inaugural Lectures etc.

Salary:

• Point of entry will depend on qualifications and cognate experience
