Yorkshire Insurance of UK came to Nigeria in 1953 through an Agent. It had the

record of the 1^st Company to grant cover on lives of Nigerians on the same terms as the Europeans. It opened a full-fledged office in Lagos in 1962. Yorkshire was acquired by the Federal Government of Nigeria in 1974 and renamed Niger Insurance. Today Niger is a leading Composite Underwriter in Nigeria: It became quoted on the Nigeria Stock Exchange in 1990. The Federal Government divested her shares in 2002 through the Bureau of Public Enterprises (BPE). Assistant General Manager PR & Communication (MANAGEMENT SERVICES) LAGOS

The Person

1. First Degree in Mass Communication or any of the Humanities
2. Professional qualification and/or membership of APCON
3. Post graduate degree in Finance or Business
4. Wide Experience in Brand Building, Corporate Promotion and Media Relations.
5. Minimum of 15 years experience

Responsibilities

• Corporate image laundering
• Corporate information dissemination
• Protocol and foreign relations activities
• Corporate and product brand building
• Experience in Insurance Business will be an advantage
