The Targeted State High Impact Project (TSHIP) is a five-year program focused on the improvement of health systems and the management of health systems for higher quality Maternal, Neonatal and Child Health, Family Planning, and Reproductive Health service delivery in Nigeria. TSHIP is funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and implemented by JSI Research and Training Institute, Inc. (JSI)TSHIP is looking for two full-time employees to fill the position below. One employee will be based in Bauchi and the other in Sokoto.RECEPTIONISTSecretary/Receptionist will ensure a clear and effective communication within the office, receive office visitors, receive documents and mail, distribute mail, to the concerned project staff, and answer phone inquiries. She/he will report to the Assistant finance Specialist.The Secretary/Receptionist responsibilities include (but are limited to): • Greeting visitors and notify concern project staff of the presence of a visitor, taking proper message for the person when she/he is not available;• Answering and directing phone calls• Sending, receiving and distributing project mail; maintaining income/outgoing mail log;• Maintaining project calendar including coordination of all project activities, vehicle schedules, and equipment scheduling• Liaising with vendors, job candidates, press, consultants, and government officials as needed;• Providing administrative and logistical support to project staff and consultants, as necessary; and• Other duties as assigned.Required Qualification• Candidate must possess High school diploma required, University degree preferred and at least two years of experience working as a secretary, receptionist or in another administrative capacity preferably with international projects;• Experience in organizing and managing meeting logistics • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications• Solid judgment, critical thinking, ability to solve problems and multitask;• English language proficiency; and• Experience in the respective region (Bauchi or Sokoto)To ApplyTo apply for this position, please send your resume and letter of interest via email to nigeriatship@yahoo.com.
