Head Enterprise Risk Management (LEC/RE/HERM 10/01)
This position reports to the Group Managing Director and Risk
Management Committee of the Main Board, and has the responsibility of
developing a group wide risk management strategy in line with the
insurance business. The position sees to the development and implementation of Risk Based Supervision (RBS) for The Group, development of risk policies and processes, and specific risk modules. The successful candidate will ensure risk education and culture change from within the organisation, ERM implementation, monitoring and progress reporting, selection of Risk Management software, integration and monitoring while benchmarking risk management Practice against international best practices.
Person Specifications
- Must possess a good first degree preferably in Economics, Business administration, Finance or allied areas,
- Minimum of 10 years experience in the insurance industry and must have been involved in operations, relationship management and risk management.
- Must have a strong understanding of the insurance business, both General and Life, and good knowledge of global best practices in Risk Management
- The ideal candidate must have current knowledge of internal and external developments and practices to ensure that policies are innovative
- Possession of proven project management skills, with excellent leadership skills and an ability to work without supervision.
