LMS-ACT is an MSH-implemented project in Nigeria that aims the supporting State Ministries of Health and State Action Committees on AIDS (SACA) to deliver Comprehensive HIV/AIDS/TB services including providing anti-retroviral therapy for the hundreds of thousands of people that need in Nigeria.
Grants Officer (3 Position)
Location: Abuja, Taraba and Bayelsa
The grants Officer is responsible for assisting the Grants manager and the Boston-based MSH Contracts officer in monitoring and ensuring project compliance with the term and conditions of the Agreements, S/he also interacts with project technical staff in developing and revising all templates for solicitations local Agreements, and grants.
Responsibilities
- In Collaboration with Senior Technical Staff and MSH Grants Officer, develop RFPs draft solicitation conduct and document source selection, negotiate cost and other conditions, prepare aware and modifications, seek require approvals, monitor implementation and close-out work with C&GA to develop refine standardize tools and systems for these activities.
- Design and implement effective contracts/grants.
- Collaborate with the Grants Manager and Senior Technical Staff in awarding grants, negotiating terms of reference, and monitoring and reporting on financial activities, as appropriate.
- Develop appropriate control systems for formulating, negotiating, executing, and closing grants according to USAID regulations.
Key Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, public health, management, or equivalent degree with relevant experience.
- Significant experience in grants management and financial/operational systems must.
- Ability to determine the responsibility and grants-worthiness of organizations through financial statement, audits and other documentation presented in a proposal.
- Substantial experience working with PEPFAR/USAID-supported projects and knowledge of USG regulations and procedures strongly preferred.
- Fluency in English including speaking, wing, and reading. Fluency in relevant indigenous languages desirable.
- Ability and willingness to travel regularly to all Project NGOs.
