Advert into FADAMA 111 Project

Facilitator will be responsible for providing support to Fadama user Group (FUGs) and their Apex organizations-Fadama Community Associations (FCAs)- in project Approach and Procedures, social Mobilization, Needs Assessment and Local Development Planning; so that each FCA will prepare a Local; Development Plan (LDP) with associated subprojects which may be financed by the project.

Facilitator

Specific Duties

Introduce the Project to existing and potential Fadama User Groups (FUSs), explaining to them the rules, procedures and basic approach of Community Driven Development (CDD).

Help organize economic interest groups into legally registered FUSs.

Facilitator registration and formation of FCAs,

Work with FCAs and their constituent FUSs to lead them through the local development and subproject process, including needs assessment, subproject appraisal and drafting of LDPs and

Ensure full participation of FUSs members and adherence to Project rules.

Reporting and Location

The position will report to Community Development Officer (CDO) at the State Fadama Coordinating Office in the State Capital. The position is going to be located at the Local Government level and is going to work hand in hand with the FUGs and FCAs

Qualifications Requirement

A Bachelors Degree or Higher National Diploma in Agriculture, Rural Sociology, Anthropology, Rural Development or other relevant Degree

Person with National Diploma or National Certificate of Education (NCE) in the above fields but with at least 5 years post qualification experience may also be relevant.

Good writing skills and computer literacy is an added advantage.

Excellence communication and interpersonal skills are highly required.

Details of Contract

Two (2) years contract renewable once and based on performance.
