Shell Trading Services Company is currently seeking a Vice Market for their , location.

Responsibilities:

  • Building fundamental market and competitive into a competitive advantage for Shell Energy North America (SENA)
  • Leading and developing a diverse team of highly skilled analysts such that their perspectives on emerging opportunities and threats are well respected and actioned as appropriate within Shell
  • Discern trends in the competitive landscape, derive actionable insights from these, and communicate effectively with those who can take advantage
  • Develop Medium (24 month) and Long Term (15-yr) forecasts of North American energy markets
  • In developing forecasts, incorporate perspectives and requests for focus from SENA Commercial, EP Gas, GP LNG and Shell Wind as appropriate
  • Explore potential for monetization of insights to be captured as Other Contribution after Tax (OCAT)
  • Contribute to the overall success of SENA and MSA as part of the MSA Leadership Team
  • Pursue collaboration with external centers of excellence to advance internal abilities (e.g., econometric modeling with Stanford)

Requirements:

  • Must have legal authorization to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer
  • 10 years of professional experience
  • 5 years of fundamental experience in energy trading
  • At least 5 years of service in management with a demonstrated ability to hire, train, and mentor staff
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relations at difficult interfaces at multiple levels across group businesses
  • Strong communication skills with ability to effectively communicate complex ideas, bridging the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to filter external perspectives into the elements significant to commercial opportunity capture
  • First class analytical skills
  • Demonstrated ability to build cohesive, sustainable, high performance teams
