Liquid Terminal Hiring Requirements:

* Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
* A minimum of 1 year tractor-trailer driving experience with Tanker and HAZMAT endorsement is required for drivers hired at liquid chemical terminals
* Must be able to read, speak, and comprehend the English language
* No preventable D.O.T. recordable accidents in a commercial motor vehicle in the last 3 years
* In the last three years, a driver may not have any more than a total of three moving violations and/or speeding tickets, in any combination, in any type of vehicle
* No citations for driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol, ever in a CMV or in the past five years in a non commercial motor vehicle.  Must not have more than 1 DUI/DWI ever
* No license suspensions in the last 3 years unless due to failure to pay a fine, failure to pay child support, or to carry adequate insurance
* Driver must not have been convicted of a felony within past 10 years, only 1 conviction overall, and the  conviction may not involve drugs in any way or violent crimes as described but not limited to the below:
o A driver must never have tested positive on a DOT controlled substance or alcohol test, or have been involved in illegal drug sales, trafficking, or related activities

* Must pass the company exam with a score of 70% or higher

HEALTH INSURANCE

Choice of 2 Plans: Standard Plan or Premium Plan

Both Plans Include:

* Health Insurance
* Dental Insurance

* Prescription Drug Coverage

Standard Plan:

* $15/week individual, $32/wk family
* Family Deductible $1,900 to $2,600
* Higher Out-of-pocket costs
* Higher Co-pays

Premium Plan:

* $30/week individual, $58/week family
* Family Deductible $1,200 to $1,700
* Lower Out-of-pocket costs
* Lower Co-pays

Both plans cover both network and non-network doctors and clinics, with network coverage at lower cost.

LIFE INSURANCE

Drivers receive $25,000 of Life Insurance at no cost to the driver.

Health and life coverage is effective the 1st of the month after 2 months employment.

HOLIDAYS

Eight holidays will be paid at 8 hours per day: New Years Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, the day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve Day, and Christmas Day.

VACATION

* 1 week vacation after 1 year
* 2 weeks vacation after 2 years
* 3 weeks vacation after 10 years
* 4 weeks vacation after 20 years

RETIREMENT PLANS

Planning for Retirement is important to all of us.  Even if you are years away from retirement, it pays to start planning now. After one year of employment you will be eligible for the Tankstar USA, Inc. Profit Sharing and Employee Savings Plan. There are 2 Parts to this plan:

Profit Sharing:

Each year that the corporation makes a profit, a percentage of payroll is set aside for Profit Sharing. The higher the profits, the higher the profit sharing amount. The profit sharing money is then distributed to the accounts of eligible employees. In recent years, the profit sharing amount has varied from 3% to 8% of payroll.

401(k):

This is a voluntary plan in which a person can put up to 85% of earnings into savings, on a pre-tax basis. The company will match 10% of the first 5%. Contribution to a 401(k) will reduce your taxes, and the earnings grow tax-deferred. The percentage can be changed at any time.

Both profit sharing and 401(k) money is invested into an individual account with The Vanguard Group mutual funds. Each individual determines which of 15 mutual funds the money goes into. Funds can be changed at any time. This is an excellent retirement plan which can enable you to have a secure future.
