Shell Information Technology International (SITI) provides strategic IT solutions to Shell companies globally and is focused on delivering maximum value to the Shell businesses across the whole value chain by providing IT enablers and delivery of world class Information Technology.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, design, implement, and operate telecommunication infrastructure & services for Field Telecoms
- Interface directly with the Business Units on the IT and telecommunication infrastructure requirements and project implementation strategy
- Explore the use of new telecommunication technologies and identify improvements required for existing telecommunication systems and services in order to meet fast changing business needs and to obtain maximum benefits from Company’s investments
- Provide specialized local support in the event of disaster and/or high-impact outages
- Provide performance monitoring and KPI reporting to key business stakeholders. This includes maintaining a Security Dashboard
- Provide clear and direct leadership to the technicians providing operational support
Requirements:
- Must have legal authorization to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer
- At least 4+ years experience in operating (EP) Technical Infrastructure services and offshore telecoms
- Degree in IT or equivalent
- Strong understanding of ATM LAN/WAN Network topologies
- Strong understanding of network Security
- Experience in the overlaying technologies (Windows2000, portal technologies)
- Experience in the underlying technologies. Specifically:
- DHCP
- TACACS
- TCPIP
- VOIP
- Cisco Switches and Routers
- Fore/Marconi ATM Switches
- Knowledge of DNS and AD
- EIA/TIA cabling - Successful candidate will be required to go to onshore and offshore locations on occasion. Transportation is via helicopter.
