Mercy Medical Center Merced has been building a rich history of care in our community for more than 100 years. We have grown from a small one-story wooden structure into a major healthcare provider with a 172-bed main campus, Outpatient Center, Cancer Center and several rural clinics. And we are still writing our story. Mercy recently broke ground on its 185-bed replacement facility in North Merced. POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Position Summary
Provides laboratory testing to inpatients and outpatients, quality control, and instrument maintenance and related record keeping and result reporting. May be assigned to or rotate to various areas such as: Microbiology, Chemistry/Special Chemistry, Transfusion Services, Coagulation, Hematology, Urinalysis and Immunology. Patients served are neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adults, and geriatric age groups.

Qualifications
Minimum
1. Must possess and maintain a current Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) license with the state of California
2. Computer literate

Desired
1. One (1) year experience in an acute care facility.
2. For Med Tech II: Two (2) years of increasingly responsible experience as a clinical laboratory technologist in an approved clinical hospital laboratory. Possession of a Master’s Degree or Ph.D. in clinical laboratory technology or a related field may be substituted for one year of the required experience.
