Accounts Payable Associate: AMF Bowling Centers, Inc.

SUMMARY: The Accounts Payable Associate processes invoices for payment in accordance with organization’s coding and approval policies and deadlines.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES: Other duties may be assigned.

Edits and enters properly approved and coded invoices into the A/P computer system to assure they are ready for payment according to terms or any special instruction as directed by approvers. Matches remittances to invoices as required.

Matches purchase orders.

Resolves invoice problems with management, employees and vendors in a courteous and professional manner.

Complies with system changes, approval policies, and accounting changes as directed by A/P Manager. Carries out month-end processes to assure that invoices are entered and A/P is closed within the scheduled deadlines.

Date stamps and allocates incoming mail.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma and at least two years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in a general office environment where typical levels of noise, dust and activity can be expected. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
