Job Description

JOB TITLE:
Corp Responsibility and Sustainability Specialist

JOB OBJECTIVE:

Position reports to Manager of Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability (CRS). Assist with implementation and administration of the company’s Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability activities and routine . Assist with the writing, design, production, printing and distribution of internal and external publications focused on the company’s CRS efforts, including ’ annual CRS Report. This position also assists the company in the development of CRS metrics with specific emphasis to improve overall business performance and drive greater efficiency throughout our . Assist Supply Chain CRS manager to prioritize projects across the 3 CRS environmental strategic focus areas: water stewardship, energy conservation/climate change, and sustainable packaging/recycling.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsibilities:
General Gather cross-functional data from geographically-diverse departments to support CCE’s overarching CRS efforts, and to support the Activity-based Cost Analysis Framework for CRS. Write, draft and edit employee communications, consumer correspondence, Q&As and press releases as they relate to the CCE’s CRS efforts. Write management speeches and develop PowerPoint presentations for senior executives. Coordinate quarterly CRS Advisory Council Meetings and assist with CRS Board of Directors Meetings Manage the development of the CRS data management tool Produce annual CRS Report.
Support CRS and efforts related to the five CRS strategic focus areas of water stewardship, energy conservation/climate change, sustainable packaging/recycling, product portfolio well-being, and diverse and inclusive culture. Provide assistance with research, special data information, public affairs events and numerous and varied special projects. Assist the worldwide CCE Public Affairs and Communications team in the implementation of Facility Sustainability Plans (FSPs), linked to achieving Commitment 2020 CRS goals. Build and implement communications routines with field-based specialists and coordinators to help direct and assist local CRS and Operation Grass Roots Enterprise (OGRE) efforts. Help manage stakeholder engagement regarding CRS at CCE.
Publications Management and Production Produce the Company’s annual CRS Report and suite of materials, as well as the distribution plan for these materials. Manage production, editing, and distribution of internal and external CRS videos.
Community Relations Identify and capture opportunities to position the company for external awards and recognition related to our CRS efforts.
Media Relations Support external communications which advance CCE’s business plan and successfully engage the media on key social, community and corporate citizen initiatives. Work closely with Manager, Public Affairs and External Communications, on the CRS strategic communication plan implementation.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Minimal Qualification/Requirements: Minimum four year degree (BBA or BA) with an interest in sustainability, journalism, communications, business, and/or political science. Three plus years of relevant public affairs/media relations experience (public sector, private sector or trade association). Experience in report writing and Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability REQUIRED. Good understanding of Corporate Philanthropic REQUIRED. Publication experience is a must. Must have experience in with sound writing and presentation capabilities. Global experience/interest, previous experience with public affairs in a large corporate environment. Experience in publishing a wide variety of documents and knowledge of human resources and employee communications. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are critical. Must be able to effectively communicate with persons at every level of operation at CCE, with government and community leaders, and possess confidence and comfort in dealing with the media. Self-starter. Highly-motivated, passionate individual with demonstrated initiative, attention to detail and ability to adapt to different situations. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to consistently deliver quality projects on time and within budget. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality. Computer Skills Required: Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Internet research. Knowledge of Lotus-Notes a plus.
