Shell Exploration and Production Company is currently seeking an Engineer - Pinedale for their , location.

Responsibilities:

  • Champions and documents competitive intelligence and Drilling-the-Limit benchmarks and processes
  • Defines specific deliverables with the Well Team Lead for each well or area and manages delivery of expected knowledge to the well delivery team
  • Assists in drilling efficiency / mechanics for planned wells including:

- Optimum bottom-hole assembly designs for vibration mitigation, bit selection
- Optimum Hydraulics

  • Gathers and delivers Risk Mitigation Report to Well Team Lead. Best practice that relate to the well. Root-cause failure reports for the individual challenges in the well
  • Assures that the agreed upon deliverables with the Well Team Lead or Operations Superintendent, are on time and to the designated person
  • Champions and documents After Action Reviews and submits for Regional/Group use
  • Champions and documents best practices and submits to best practice coordinator
  • Communicates new concepts and ideas to the well delivery team that improve performance and champions these ideas into the well execution

Requirements:

  • Must have legal authorization to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer
  • 8+ years E&P experience, mainly in drilling with a strong preference for experience in drilling (mechanics)
  • University or technical degree in , well background with exposure to and interest in drilling
  • Proven team building and leading skills, ability to develop, communicate, build support for a common mission and vision
  • Experienced project leader with ability to deliver through others and with some direction
