Responsibilities:
- Leader and mentor to Senior Geotechnical Engineers
- Engineer of Record for all Dam Safety filings for the External Tailings Facility (ETF) and internal dykes.
- Owner and administrator for the site’s integrated tailings plans, acting as principal contact and accountable person for the Geotechnical Advisory Panel (GAP) and Mining Advisory Counsel (MAC) tailings and geotechnical related recommendations.
- Accountability for all tailings and geotechnical systems and procedures.
- Responsible for the strategic management of all contractors and consultants including contractual and budgetary negotiations and approvals requiring exceptional time management skills, ability to multi-task with an extremely large number of critical and interdependent projects while maintaining and executing the strategic vision of the TGE Team.

Requirements:
- You must have legal authorization to work in Canada for anyone other than your current employer.
- Proficient in written and spoken English.
- Minimum level of educations is a Bachelor of Science degree.
- Geotechnical, Mining or Civil Engineering or equivalent field of study.

10+ years of tailing, civil, geotechnical or mining related experience in a mining environment.

Master’s degree in an engineering related discipline is preferred.

Proven leadership skills of technical teams.

Strong communication, interpersonal and task management skills.

Ability to multi-task between various strategic and tactical technical interrelated issues.

Experience with 3D drafting and design.

Project management experience in a mining or construction related environment

Minimum of two years of supervisor experience of more than two direct reports.

Proven experience with budgeting and cost forecasting.

Safe and quality leadership and mentoring of direct and indirect reports by providing consistent feedback.

Review and approval of all designs and plans by all team members and consultants to ensure cohesion and practicality.

Management of all TGE contractors and consultants including co-management of TGE project consultants and contractors (i.e. tailings expansion projects)

Ensure the training records and education of all TGE Team Members are maintained in accordance with ASE policy such that all employees are trained on the right tasks/policies at the right time
