Shell Oil Company is currently seeking a & Manager I – WCK for their Houston, Texas location.

Responsibilities:

The purpose of the Real Estate (RE) Function is to enable Shell and its constituent Businesses / Functions (inc. Shell-operated Joint Ventures where appropriate) to deliver on their objectives by developing and executing RE strategies and in direct support of the Group Strategy of More Upstream and Profitable Downstream. The Function takes the lead in defining and implementing RE policies and processes and providing in the areas of real estate portfolio strategy and advice, property transactions and projects, facilities and travel. The Functional Leadership role for SRE is Group-wide, while the role excludes Retail real estate activities.SRE has four strategic objectives:1. To deliver Shareholder Value from portfolio, facilities and travel activities. 2. To deliver Operational Excellence through all SRE , advice and expertise for the Shell Group. 3. To lead the Real Estate function to a level of Functional Excellence that enables the Group to excel in achieving its Strategy. 4. To manage and deliver Real Estate activities in a way that provides Sustainability and Wellbeing for Shell and its employees.It is estimated that the Group’s real estate portfolio has an open-market value of approximately $25billion with an annual opex spend of c. $1.5billion.
  • Achieve agreed service levels at the lowest practical cost commensurate with his budget and phasing
  • Regulate assurance and compliance
  • Scope technical aspects of projects
  • Provide assistance with Contract Board submissions and cost estimate and implementation plan formulations
  • Maintain and own, on behalf of Asset Manager, local FM contracts, or sub-contracts related to regional/global umbrella agreements and if applicable out-of-scope contracts
  • Supply and asset integrity
  • Execute surveys when required
  • Oversee signage and adherence to its agreed standards
  • Provision of 24/7 emergency reaction floods, damage etc

Requirements:

  • Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer
  • College Graduate (in Engineering preferred)
  • Relevant Certifications essential
  • 10+ years directly related experience
  • Project experience essential
  • Invoice  a plus
  • Data Center Facilities operation a plus
  • Mechanical/Electrical background a plus
  • Power Generation a plus
