POSITION REQUIREMENTS

JOB SUMMARY: In accordance with the mission and philosophy of Catholic Healthcare West, Apprentice Engineer is developing into a professional who provides the skills and knowledge necessary to achieve the operational goals of the Engineering Department and Sequoia Hospital. The Apprentice Engineer provides a variety of maintenance skills development including preventive maintenance and repairs to the building and grounds, related fixed and portable equipment, and installation under the supervision of the Chief Engineer and/or Assistant Engineer, while successfully performing the Apprentice Program. Applies CHW Core Values to the performance of every job duty. These Values include Dignity, Collaboration, Justice, Stewardship, and Excellence.

QUALIFICATIONS: Acceptance into & successful active participation within the I.U.O.E. Stationary Engineers Local 39 Union Engineer Apprenticeship program.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/TRAINING: Valid California Drivers License.

This position is represented by Local 39 and is covered by the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
