Legal/Sr Counsel: IP/Patents

Responsibilities:
- Responsible for a docket primarily relating to Shell’s exploration and production activities (E&P and/or chemicals)
Requirements:
- Must have legal authorization to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer
- Must possess a registration to patent practice in the U.S, Patent and Trademark Office and have a membership in the State Bar of Texas or membership in the bar of another state and intention to become a member of Texas Bar
- Must have an undergraduate degree in Physics, Electrical, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering and between 5 and 12 years of experience in U.S. Intellectual property practice and a meaningful professional exposure to all major areas of IP practice
- Must have a strong career emphasis on patent practice in the US Patent and Trademark Office and a working knowledge of patent practice in other countries and of international patent conventions
- Preferably, will also have a graduate degree or comparable work experience in technology areas relevant to the E&P businesses
