Chevron Global Downstream (NAP - Integrated) is accepting online applications for the position of HES Specialist- Logistics located in Southern California - Huntington Beach, or San Diego.
Overview:
This person will develop the skills to provide HES support for 4 Chevron facilities located in Huntington Beach, El Segundo, San Diego, and Las Vegas. Person will develop the skills to support safety, compliance, training and assigned special projects.
Qualifications:
Key Job Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
• Provides HES guidance to ensure effectiveness of Operational Excellence initiatives.
• Provides HES guidance to ensure effectiveness of Operational Excellence Provides working knowledge and support of behavioral based safety programs.
• Provides HES guidance to ensure effectiveness of Operational Excellence Monitors and stewards compliance with Safe Work Practices.
• Provides HES guidance to ensure effectiveness of Operational Excellence •Provides working knowledge and support to deploy and implement standard processes.
•Provides HES guidance to field operations concerning compliance with all HES legislation, codes, regulations, standards and Company Policies. •Coordinate HES training activities.
•Monitors proposed legislation and regulations and provides advice on implications for operations.
•Coordinates HES data capture for air, water, waste and incidents.
• Responsible for timely environmental reporting.
Leads change within the organization
•Critical Selection criteria: Communication, Teamwork/Teambuilding, •Technical knowledge, Interpret Legs and regulations.
•Willingness to learn fuels storage and transportation operations. Ability to move organization into compliance. Self Starter,
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
• BA or BS HES, Safety, Environmental or Earth Science fields.
• Experience: 1-3 years in the HES field, or Oil and Chemical Industry.
• Travel requirements: 20% to 25%
•Language skills: English
Relocation Options:
Relocation may be considered within Chevron parameters.
International Considerations:
Expatriate may be considered.
