Legal Secretary III

Purpose/ Role Statement

Provides legal secretarial and administrative support to the legal department necessitating a high degree of confidentiality. Has extensive interaction with BSC-wide employees and helps provide high to all clients while protecting the company’s . Support includes calendar and travel management, telephone and computer support, filing and tracking of and documents, and mail handling. Deals with highly sensitive and confidential intellectual property and material related to other legal matters.

Key Responsibilities

* Interacts with inside and outside counsel on litigation and similar matters.
* Answers phone and directs callers, types correspondence and prepares/edits , routes mail, maintains calendar, schedules meetings and makes travel arrangements as needed for legal staff.
* Prepares legal documents, contracts and forms.
* Develops and maintains hard copy and on line filing systems by organizing information for accuracy and accessibility. Filing systems are maintained for correspondence, contracts, litigation, and other legal areas as needed.
* Orders supplies and ensures that supply inventory is adequate. Processes expense reports and check requests.
* Supports preparation for meetings. May prepare corporate record books, meeting minutes, notes, and resolutions in a manner acceptable by corporate officers for easy retrieval and review.
* May be responsible for other as assigned.
* Build Quality into all aspects of their work by maintaining compliance to all quality requirements.

Qualifications

Associates Degree or 5 to 7 years executive support experience, preferred.
