If you answered YES, Scholastic Book Fairs may have the perfect job for you! We are looking for Part-Time Seasonal Power Equipment Operators to assist us in getting books in the hands of children.

Our Seasonal Power Equipment Operator responsibilities include:

Advise the Warehouse Supervisor or immediate supervisor of inventory levels on a basis to avoid out-of-stock inventory.

Unpack and sort returned books and merchandise. Return all merchandise to the proper location in a timely manner. All merchandise will be handled in a manner so as to avoid damaging, bending, or tearing.

Maintain a clean, organized and safe work environment.

Assist all other Associates in completing tasks requested by the Warehouse Manager or immediate supervisor.

Prepare shipments to fill branch orders.

Distribute book reorders to branch picking aisles.

Assist drivers loading and unloading trucks.

Back-up shipping/receiving clerk.

Regular attendance in accordance with schedule.

Qualifications:

* Must have 1+ recent years forklift/order picker experience and clear drug screen.
* Ability to work from a platform at a height of 30 feet above ground.
* Must be a minimum of eighteen (18) years of age.
* High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
* Must have a valid drivers license and a reliable means of transportation to/from work.
* Perform basic math skills.
* Must be able to read, write legibly.
* Must be able to lift 40-50 lbs., without assistance, repetitively.
* Must be able to push and pull weights up to 300 lbs.
* Must be able to stand for long periods of time and walk unassisted.
* Operate pallet jack.
