The Senior Manager, Human Resources will be responsible for managing, implementing and tracking all Human Resources activities for Booking.com’s customer office in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and all regional sales employees, including offices in New York City, Orlando and San Francisco.
Specific responsibilities include:
* Regular interaction with Booking.com, reporting on HR activities in Booking.com’s customer offices and discussing Booking.com’s requirements for HR support in its customer offices
* Developing and implementing staffing strategies to support high growth in close co-operation with Booking.com.
* Implementing and maintaining Human Resources policies and procedures in close co-operation with Booking.com.
* Developing and implementing employee reward, recognition and retention programs in close co-operation with Booking.com.
* Investigating and making recommendations on all employee relations issues.
* Assessing and developing comprehensive compensation plans.
* Implementing a performance management system in close co-operation with Booking.com.
* Designing and implementing training programs in close co-operation with Booking.com.
* Managing the administration of benefits and payroll.
* Partnering with management while supporting the business as an HR partner.
* Travel to visit Booking.com customer offices on a regular basis
Ideal candidates will have the following skills:
* Results driven: Demonstrated experience in managing all aspects of the Human Resources function and delivering exceptional results. Willingness to do whatever it takes to administer Human Resources effectively.
* Functional expertise:
o Extensive track-record of owning all aspects of the recruitment & selection process including: sourcing candidates, managing the interview process, hiring of candidates, reference and background checks, handling new hire orientation and associate follow-ups.
o At least 5 years experience in handling employee relations issues and advising management in all aspects of HR.
o At least 3 years experience in administering employee benefits programs.
* Consulting: Track-record of advising all levels of management and employees on employee relations,, organization structure and managing change. Skilled in providing consultative support and being the HR business partner.
* Management / Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead directly and/or influence a group of individuals to reach identified specific business objectives both within HR and the business units.
* Experience in the development and implementation of successful employee programs which drives employee satisfaction is ideal.
* Administrative: Demonstrated ability to develop and manage internal HR reporting, have a comprehensive understanding of the financial plan and the impact that HR has to the bottom line. Comprehensive understanding of HR analysis.
* Exceptional influencing and communication skills.
* Excellent problem identification, analysis and issue resolution skills.
* Excellent negotiation, organizational, interpersonal and sales skills.
* Excellent presentation skills.
* Working knowledge of employment law.
* Proficiency with MS Office.
Experience Required
* Bachelor’s degree required. Degree in Human Resources or related field preferred. PHR/SPHR certification desired.
* 7 - 10 years practical Human Resources experience is required with at least 5+ years in an HR Manager/Director role.
* Significant staffing and employee relations experience in a call center or retail environment required.
* Experience with HRIS and ATS systems.
* Experience in a high-growth organization strongly preferred.
* Experience in managing HR in a regional center with a reporting relationship to the corporate HR department.
* Ability and willingness to travel within the US on a regular basis
