Job Description:

* Responsible for conducting operations and sustaining the operability of communications and electronics equipment located at an Air Force Satellite Control Network Remote Tracking Station.
* Trainee must become certified in all operator positions and in completion of Preventive Maintenance Instructions (PMIs).
* Assists the Controller and Operator or Technician personnel in operations, PMIs, and maintenance of assigned equipment.

Qualifications:

* Successful candidates should have a high school diploma and 4 years relevant professional experience; or a commensurate combination of education, training and experience.
* At least 4 years experience (2 years with an Associates degree and/or military technical training) in the operations and maintenance of radar, RF, telemetry, and/or electronic communications systems.
* Essential functions include the ability to enter an antennae door space 2ft x 2ft. Must be able to work on a ladder assembly and climb to a height of 20 feet. Must be able to lift 50lbs to waist level.
* Must be able to obtain certifications on all required operational and PMI duties.

Preferred Additional Skills:

* Some electronics repair experience and space systems experience is preferred.
* A+ certification is desired.

This position requires the candidate to be able to obtain a Secret security clearance. In order to obtain a clearance you need to be a U.S. Citizen and show proof of citizenship.
