Kforce Finance and Accounting has a contract position open with an established law firm in downtown Tampa.The responsibilities and duties of this position include but are not limited to:

• Maintains client/matter database; opens/closes matters and ensures accuracy of all client and matter information including attorney rates, billing frequency and billing information
• Assists with processing and verification of e-billing systems information and accounting system information
• Assists with billing of client invoices
• Researches payments, tracks and resolves accounting or documentation discrepancies
• Maintains files, including filing of invoices, checks and other miscellaneous documentation
• Assists Accounting personnel with other duties as needed

The skills, experience, and knowledge required to be considered for this position include:

• Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience
• One to three years progressive working experience in a Billing environment.
• Moderate computer skills necessary in Microsoft Office Suite, Windows XP, Outlook, and document management (iManage)
• Advanced knowledge of CMS or other Accounting software
• Interpersonal skills necessary to communicate by e-mail, telephone, or in person in order to provide information with ordinary tact and courtesy in an environment with a diverse group of personalities
• Advanced organizational skills and the ability to prioritize numerous tasks and complete them under time constraints while maintaining a high level of attention to detail
• Ability to work individually or as part of a team
• Advanced mathematical skills
• Flexible and solution-oriented
