Job Description

Responsible and accountable for the successful implementation of global, regional and local Payment System Risk (PSR) programs, initiatives and risk tools and services to ensure the security of the Visa system. Provide support and value added services to local clients and local organizations to address data security and fraud control issues.

Support the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) and Credit System Risk (CSR) Teams in in-country related activities and information requirements. The ideal candidate will have a background in operations, technology or risk related activities, an educational background in business administration/engineering and a strong understanding of the payment system industry.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Implement Payment System Risk compliance programs and fraud mitigation initiatives in Mexico
* Support Mexico’s more than 30 clients in Data Security and Fraud control initiatives.
* Promote Visa’s Risk Products and Services.
* Close coordination with PSR Team in Miami.
* Risk information systems.
* Support ERM and CSR Teams.
* Work interactively with the Regional Head of Risk and Head of Visa Mexico to meet current and long-term objectives
* Aggregate and report regional risk information to regional management and share global risk information and interdependencies with Head of ERM, LAC.
* Periodically assess the competence and integrity of in-country ERM framework and implement improvements
* Accountable for leading and driving the success of regional cross-functional risk projects in-country.
* Be able to execute locally the different Risk programs.
* Fine-tune Global and Regional programs in accordance to market realities and needs to ensure the achievement of goals
* Align the different interest and priorities of the different stakeholders (internal and external)
* Administration of local Risk budget
* Responsibility for Risk revenues derived from Value add risk tools and services to local clients and vendors
* Dual reporting to Regional Head of Risk and Head of Visa Mexico.
*  Close coordination with the LAC Heads of PSR, ERM and CSR and Visa Mexico’s senior management.

REQUIREMENTS:

* Bachelor’s Degree
* 8-10 years of experience in related field
* Experience implementing Payment Risk initiatives to reduce fraud and ensure Data Security
* Strategic and holistic thinker
* Business process understanding
* Experience implementing risk tools/services to address fraud
* Capable to analyze fraud statistics
* Advanced university (or equivalent) degree.
* The candidate will also possess language skills in Spanish and English.
* A strong understanding of the payment system industry in the local market
