Shell Downstream encompasses all the activities necessary to transform crude oil into petroleum and petrochemicals, and deliver them around the world.
Our Downstream businesses refine, supply, trade and ship crude oil worldwide, and manufacture, transport and market fuels, , bitumen, LPG and bulk petrochemicals for domestic, transportation and industrial uses. Altogether, the organisation employs some 80,000 people.
The North West Europe Supply Chain is one of the two largest supply chain envelopes for the global business, and with five manufacturing facilities, is spread over 11 countries. The Centre in based in NW England and is the second largest Lube Oil Blending in NWE. Its activities cover the end-to-end integrated supply chain, from blending, filling, warehousing and distributing of finished to the UK market and overseas.
We’re currently looking to recruit a to join us at and report directly to the NWE Operations .

Responsibilities:

In this role, you’ll be responsible for managing the processes and activities. These include production and process , quality, utilities, oil movements and any designated support activities such as grease and chemicals operations.

We’ll also expect you to manage operations of all designated production and process units within the constraints of budget and production programming requirements, and within quality and HSSE performance targets.

Requirements:

With a degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline, you’ll have significant production experience. As a skilled stakeholder with solid change management and hands-on shop floor experience, we’ll expect you to have fluent written and spoken English language skills. You should also possess:
  • Strong people management, change management and behavioural change management skills
  • The ability to track, interpret and implement standards that are applicable to operations and facilities
  • Stakeholder management skills due to the wide and sometimes complex UK stakeholder map
  • The ability to monitor statistical HSSE performance so that trends can be communicated to functional managers for action

The ability to ensure that HSSE management systems are live, relevant and up to date.
