Purpose/Role Statement
Supports a product line or key marketing project(s). A primary focus is to gain functional capabilities, prove sound decision making skills, and to demonstrate leadership ability in a team environment. Interfaces with sales representatives, R&D and surgeons to determine use case and user needs (VOC) for Marketing Management aspects of product creation and improvement.
Key Responsibilities
• Understand, assist and progressively lead strategic planning, GMA forecasting, and supply chain and operational management for assigned products
• Understand BSC systems and processes to support franchise product development and quality management
• Understand how new franchise markets are identified and assist in defining these opportunities
• Understand key franchise technologies and assist new product design and development within the TDP/PDP matrix
• Understand the market for franchise products and assist in the market science process, usage patterns and competitive activities, formulation of customer segmentation and product positioning models, messaging, and channel management. Understand key opinion leader relationships
• Understand BSC’s global downstream marketing and sales network and support franchise downstream marketing efforts
• Understand traditional franchise markets, strategy and messaging, and contribute to addressing competitive challenges
• Establish key relationships in cross-functional teams, other franchises and domestic sales
Quality Systems Duties and Responsibilities
Fully support the Quality Policy by building quality into all aspects of the incumbent’s work and by maintaining compliance to all quality requirements (including but not limited to being current on all training requirements for the incumbent’s position and documenting that training).
Qualifications
• Undergraduate degree required, MBA and/or Engineering degree preferred
• 3+ years of successful related business experience or MBA. Software Development experience a plus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated success working in a team environment
• Strong willingness to learn
Fundamental understanding and application of marketing principles, concepts, practices, and standards. Must have exceptional leadership, negotiation, & interpersonal skills, particularly in working effectively as a member of a team. Must be able to work in a fast paced environment & foster constructive relationships with internal/external customers. . Must demonstrate the capacity for patient and physician empathy and understanding. Must have excellent communication skills - written, verbal, analytical & presentation skills, including the ability to listen to clinical & customer needs, prioritize needs/requirements & communicate them to cross-functional teams. Must have effective time management skills; availability to work some weekends and ability to manage a moderate travel. Field sales experience a plus.
