Financial Products Specialist:

The Large and Mid-Size Business Division (LMSB) of the Internal Revenue Service is hiring Internal Revenue Agents to specialize in Financial Products. Internal Revenue Agents in LMSB examine individual, business, and corporate tax returns to determine correct federal tax liabilities relating to compliance with the Internal Revenue Code. Financial Products Specialists routinely deal with domestic and international financial products issues, trading activities, global marketplaces and structured transactions. The most competitive applicants will be those with a degree in Accounting, including a minimum of 24 semester hours of accounting AND several years of progressively-responsible large corporate accounting and tax experience, including specialized experience in financial products. Advanced degrees and/or a CPA license are highly desirable.
