UNICEF seeks a Research Officer to be based in its Governance and Multilateral Affairs Office, New York Headquarters.
You will provide research support to the Chief of the Multilateral System Analysis unit and to the Specialist, Multilateral Affairs. You will also support the efficient operation of the Unit in all critical aspects of its work, including substantive, administrative and managerial areas.
Your profile:
Second university degree in political science, public affairs, economics, social sciences, international relations or other related discipline.
Two years work experience in a professional capacity in research, external relations, public affairs or international development cooperation, preferably in an academic institution, in the UN or similar organization, government or NGO.
Analytical rigour and research skills.
Excellent writing skills.
Tact, diplomacy and political sensitivity.
Maturity and ability to work and communicate effectively.
Good organizational and management skills to manage often conflicting and urgent priorities under pressure.
Ability to work effectively in a team.
Ability to work under pressure.
Excellent computer knowledge, including in computer management information systems and applications.
Fluency in English and another UN language.
