Responsibilities
· Provide ongoing training and support in many areas critical to the success of a solar electric installation business including business operations and maintenance, customer service techniques, product ordering, suggested pricing guidelines, government rebate processing, sales, customer site inspections, and administrative procedures.
· Introduce and teach industry best practices as well as providing ongoing coaching and support.
· Work closely with new solar electric installers.
· Facilitate the early stage growth, and ultimate success of solar sales and installation businesses as the industry evolves from the fringe of the energy world into a dominant source of clean power across the U.S.
· This role will be part of a fast growing, high profile and high visibility part of the company.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Management from four-year accredited college or university.
- At least 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in marketing, sales, permitting, rebate processing, installation, and customer service in the solar electric installation field or a similar construction related field is highly desirable.
- Strong business aptitude and understanding of how to grow and run a small business.
- Exceptional communications, presentation, and customer service skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to get along well with and work with all types of people.
- Proven capability to train and develop others with confidence and patience.
- A passion for solar energy fostering a desire for continual learning.
- The ability to adapt to changing business conditions.
- The ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
- High personal standards, a strong attention to detail, and ability to work well under pressure.
- The ability to work in an early-stage environment and collaborate on the development and implementation of organizational processes and procedures.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- The ability to travel.
