Job Description:
AIM Healthcare is seeking a Business Technology Analyst. AIM is a national leader in healthcare business solutions, exists to reduce the cost of healthcare and simplify healthcare information management. By developing and supporting technology platforms to analyze data and facilitate connections between payers and providers, AIM specializes in the reduction of healthcare costs in the public and private sectors by identifying, validating, recovering and preventing errant claims.
Position Summary
The Business Technology Analyst’s role is to elicit, analyze, specify, and validate the business needs of Data mining employees, be they customers or end-users. This includes interviewing data analysts and gathering and compiling user requirements to convey to development teams throughout the software lifecycle. This analyst will analyze current processes, analyze current systems, usage of systems, and recommend improvements. The technology analyst will analyze current prioritization methods and processes and will continually recommend improvements to help increase return on investment. The business analyst will support the Program Management team in investigating problems and issues with systems. This role will help develop and create efficiencies in current Data Mining system processes. This Business Analyst will also apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help support the development process, and to ensure that project deliverables are met according to specifications.
Essential Job Functions
- Collaborate with business users and management to determine business needs and user requirements.
- Conduct user interviews and systems analysis to gather user requirements, usage cases, and usage scenarios.
- Develop and utilize standard templates to accurately and concisely write requirement specifications.
- Translate conceptual user requirements into functional requirements in a clear manner that is comprehensible to software developers/project teams.
- Analyze and verify requirements for completeness, consistency, comprehensibility, feasibility, and conformity to standards.
- Identify and establish scope and parameters of requirements analysis in order to define impact, outcome criteria, and measure-taking actions.
- Analyze and recommend changes to systems workflows and processes;

- Analyze current DM IT requests and suggest improvements in prioritization process.
- Analyze current DM requests, complete trend analysis, and recommend changes to reduce IT cost and/or increase return
- Ability to self-manage individual projects and meet deadlines
- Work with R&D and IT to develop new and efficient systems workflows.
- Investigate and troubleshoot systems issues that may arise with internal applications.
- Assist the business analyst in documenting issues, steps to resolution, and follow through with completion
- Ability to communicate technical answers/solutions with end users and non-technical personnel.
- Create process models, workflows, and charts to provide direction to developers, project teams, and business users.
- Develop and conduct peer reviews to ensure that requirement specifications are correctly interpreted.
- Manage and track the status of requirements throughout the project lifecycle; enforce and redefine as necessary.
- Communicate changes, enhancements, and modifications - verbally or through written documentation project managers, sponsors, and other stakeholders so that issues and solutions are understood.
- Establish practices and procedures that work towards the continuous improvement of the requirements process.
- Will constantly update Management on all aspects of job function.
