New Graduate Upgrader Operator

Location: Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta, Canada
Shell Canada is currently seeking four New Graduate Upgrader Operator. These positions are based at our Scotford site, east of Fort Saskatchewan.
Responsibilities:
- Monitoring process unit operations and troubleshooting with a focus on safety, environment and profitability
- Perform maintenance on shift
- Work at heights and in confined spaces
- Safety focus (Safe Work Practices, Hazard Task Analysis); Core safety skills training will be required
- Technical competence, understanding of process units and work processes with the ability to operate complex process control loops.
- Responsible for the operations in one area of the upgrader, under the guidance of a qualified unit operator.
- This position requires the incumbent to be flexible in his/her work schedule, including shift work and be available for overtime.
Requirements:
- Candidate must be authorized to work in Canada on a full time basis for anyone other than current employer.
- Required language(s): English.
- Applicants must have completed the Power Engineering Technology two year Program and have obtained their 4th class ABSA ticket.
- Must have good time management, oral communication and report writing skills.
- MS office computer software knowledge.
- Basic computer literacy in both PC and mainframe environment.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both oral and written.
- 4 Full-Time positions available.
