Marketing Manager, Maclaren

About the Job

Reporting to the President of Maclaren , with a dotted line to Global Strategic Marketing Director, this is an operational role, responsible for driving local Brand awareness and supporting Sales.​  The Marketing Manager develops and executes the US Marketing Plan, consistent with global Brand Strategy.

The Manager is primarily responsible for enhancing Brand leadership at Retail Points of Sale, in collaboration with the Retail Services Manager, with Strategic Marketing Services and with US Sales.​   The Marketing Manager executes global marketing programs at the local level, represents US market needs to Strategic Marketing and proposes local solutions for approval.​  (S)he develops and executes the US Marketing Plan, tracks results, and shares learnings with Strategic Marketing.

Marketing Plan:

·         implements global Brand strategy and guidelines in the US market:

·         develops US Marketing Plan in collaboration with US President, Sales & global Strategic Marketing

·         executes Plan

·         manages Budget

·         measures results/​ROI, evaluates; shares learnings with US President & Strategic Marketing

Detail:

Retail Accounts:  Working with Retail Services Manager, Sales and Training to ensure implementation of global brand messaging at all US Retail Accounts.​  Supports Sales by preparing proposals and presentation materials for key Accounts.​  Collaborates with Retail Services Category Manager to

* identify local Retail needs and prepare briefs for development by strategic Marketing Services
* develop, schedule and ensure demonstrations and promotional events at key Accounts.

Retail Showrooms: Plan and execute on marketing initiatives to generate awareness and sales for retail locations.

Public Relations:  Following local and strategic guidelines, recommends, develops & executes the local Public Relations Plan.​ Collaborates with outside agency to execute on timely delivery of materials to media.​ Tracks and reports on response generated.​ Shares best practices.

CRM & Direct Marketing  Collaborating with strategic Marketing Services and IT, recommends, develops and executes:

* campaigns to build US database, build traffic in-store & online and build sales
* data mining and segmentation for US customer insight
* programs to enhance customer satisfaction, cultivate loyalty and increase profitable sales
* ROI reports, recommendations for improvement, best practices

Website:  collaborating with strategic Marketing Services and, maintains country-specific website & US ecommerce; drives traffic and sales; analyzes results, makes recommendations.

Buzz Marketing/​Guerilla/​New Media:  coordinating with local PR, implements global guidelines, submits new promotion ideas for approval, tracks impact, shares learnings with other country Marketing & with Strategic Marketing

Marketing Manager, Local Market

Trade Shows:  Organizes Regional Trade Show presence, in collaboration with Sales, Retail Services Manager and strategic Marketing Services.​  Coordinates with local PR partner.​  Drives pre-show marketing and post-show follow up, reports on attendance and sales during and after Show, assesses efficacy, makes recommendations for next Show

Global Marketing Meetings:  Participates, representing US market point of view and collaborates with colleagues on global branding programs

Market Intelligence:  Tracks US market trends, benchmarks competitors, gathers customer & consumer demands, reports on strengths/​weaknesses/​opportunities/​threats, to US President and Strategic Marketing

Requirements/​Profile:  6+​ years experience in operational marketing, preferably in premium consumer brands.​  Articulate, organized, creative, collaborative and proactive.​  Expertise in premium lifestyle marketing and global collaboration.​  College degree in Marketing or related.​  Team player, results oriented.​  Computer literate.
