Position Description:
Responsible for outreach and education of the organization’s products and/or services as defined by management. This would include event planning and coordination, advertising, presenting. Establishing and maintaining positive public relations and maintaining contacts with community entities to promote the goals of preventative health and managed care services.
Primary Responsibilities:

* Regular attendance is a fundamental job requirement.
* Establish outreach goals to ensure share of market and profitability of products and/or services
* Educate members and potential members, at their request, about the managed care services provided by Unison Health Plan of Ohio
* Promote the concept of preventative care among members and the community at large
* Participate in the organization’s advertising and promotion activities
* Recommend and participate in outreach strategies for the organization which will result in the greatest share of the market over the long run
* Identify trends impacting outreach efforts and reports these to management
* Continually monitor and analyze groups to resolve complaints, address concerns, and provide orientation of services to members
* Conduct marketing surveys on current and new product concepts
* Prepare activity reports
* Source, identify, initiate and maintain contacts with community leaders and organizations to introduce Unison and generate positive community relations for Unison
* Identify, locate, and enlist cooperation of individuals, groups, agencies and organizations in outreach activities
* Track products utilized for outreach events
* Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Qualifications:

* Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university; or one to two years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
* Experience working with Medicaid products and services
* Experience giving presentations to large and small size groups
* Experience working in community outreach sales and marketing
* Valid Ohio driver’s license is required
* Current Ohio Department of Insurance (ODI) insurance agent license is required
