Job Description;      Opportunity for a key role within the dynamic start-up environment at MediaFLO USA (MUI), one of Qualcomm’s fastest growing divisions. Position will help in the financial analysis and accounting for the launch of a Direct to Consumer (D2C) business within the MediaFLO business unit. Candidate must possess solid accounting and strong analytic skills with the ability to analyze data and problem solve. Candidate must demonstrate superior teamwork skills, managerial leadership and the ability to think strategically and work tactically. Must be comfortable with multi-tasking and handling conflicting priorities and willing and able to take direction and process complex requests quickly and deliver short turnaround on project deliverables. Comfort and experience with fast-paced and dynamic environments a must.
Candidate should demonstrate capability performing a wide range of accounting and financial functions including corporate accounting month-end accounting closes and financial analysis in a SOX compliant environment. Must be detail-oriented, superb organization and data gathering skills, a self-motivated team contributor with ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects simultaneously. Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and able to meet multiple deliverable schedules.
. Oversee the accounting operations and financial reporting aspects of a newly developed D2C business model including the establishment of processes and controls associated with inventory management and consumer billing cycles.
. Work with various areas of the D2C Operations group to ensure proper information exchange exists and financial systems are established to manage information processing as is required for proper financial control and financial reporting.
. Research, interpret and develop approach for the implementation of relevant accounting guidance surrounding new business issues.
. Design and implement SOX controls around the new D2C business and ensure operational, financial system and financial reporting compliance with applicable controls.

. Supervise staff of 3 responsible for certain aspects of the MUI balance sheet; primarily fixed assets and lease accounting.
. Provide financial operational support including expenditure and requisition approvals
. Monthly accounting responsibilities including reviewing and preparing journal entries, account reconciliations and SEC related schedules
. Financial analysis of key spending patterns and other departmental analysis. Help provide group management with financial data to assist in the performance monitoring of certain areas within the business.
. Financial forecasting and budgeting with variance analysis of departmental spending. Work within the business unit to analyze key business drivers in the development of financial forecasts.
. Work in numerous other areas on ad-hoc analysis and presentations as needed.
Skills/Experience     . Minimum 10 years experience in a corporate accounting or financial analysis role
. CPA or MBA and Big 6 experience a plus
. Strong understanding of accounting and finance
. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
. Experience with Oracle and Cognos or similar systems
. Strong Microsoft skills in Excel, Word and PowerPoint
. A detail oriented team player looking to advance in their professional development
. Previous experience in media or wireless industry a plus
Additional Skills     Advanced expertise in Microsoft Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
Education Requirements     Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and/or Finance required
