Job Details:
Responsible for pre-admission/registration and admission/registration for all patients seeking service. Obtains eligibility for all payors with access to their database. Effectively explains financial policies and procedures to patients and/or responsible parties. Explains financial responsibilities and collects patient portion or establishes payment schedule. Identifies all avenues of reimbursement. Duties may include bed control, patient valuables, charging, coding, some chart assembly in ED and in certain areas unit support. Performs other duties as assigned. Follows PPH rules, policies, procedures, applicable laws, and standards. Carries out the mission, vision, values, and quality commitment of PPH.

Job Requirements
Minimum Education:     High School Diploma and/or combination of education and experience

Preferred Education:     Basic college/ or technical medical coursework; medical terminology knowledge

Minimum Experience:     6 months similar experience

Preferred Experience:     1 year of healthcare related experience or basic college/medical coursework
