Job Description

(1) Assist the Business Units in updating narrative documents, as well as policies and procedures;

(2) Review control descriptions to ensure they are accurately written to reflect the Business Units activities;

(3) Advise the Business Units on whether or not changes to processes, people, procedures and/or systems will impact SOX Key Controls;

(4) Review control documentation to ensure that it is “testable”;

(5) Review control tests to validate they will achieve the objective of ensuring control design and operating effectiveness;

(6) Perform certain control activities when the Business Unit is unable to perform those controls;

(7) Update risk and control descriptions in Risk Navigator (the Bank’s Risks & Controls Software);

(8) Update control details (i.e. frequency, assertions etc.) in Risk Navigator;

(9) Facilitate PBC requests for Internal and External Audit;

(10) When issues are identified, develop issues and enter those issues into Risk Navigator;

(11) Develop Management Action Plans and monitor those Action Plans;

(12) Coordinate with the SOX Officers for the walkthroughs and coordinate with IA for testing and

(13) Report on SOX compliance efforts for assigned business processes.

Skills/Requirements

* Bachelors Degree in Business, with an emphasis in Accounting or Finance or Bachelors Degree in Accounting.
* Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in Audit with a Big 4 Firm working on financial institutions and significant project management/business partner experience in a Finance Department and responsibility for Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
* A proven record of accomplishment of effectively managing projects and prioritizing tasks.
* Must have the ability to plan, execute and deliver on projects in a timely manner and the ability to effectively multi-task.
* Excellent interpersonal/communication skills with the ability to build strong professional working relationships.
* Ability to work effectively across all divisions, functions and geographical locations, as well as in a cross-cultural environment.
* Strong presentation skills with experience reporting to senior management/board committees.
* Action and results oriented with a positive attitude and the ability to overcome obstacles.
* High level of integrity and ethical values.
