On May 7, 2008, Clearwire Corporation and Sprint Nextel Corporation entered into a definitive agreement to combine their next-generation wireless broadband businesses to form a new wireless communications company to expedite the deployment of the first nationwide mobile WiMAX network.

In conjunction with this agreement Intel Corporation (through Intel Capital); Google Inc.; Comcast Corporation; Time Warner Cable Inc; and Bright House Networks have collectively agreed to invest $3.2 billion into the new company.

Senior Financial Analyst

Clearwire is looking for a highly motivated Senior Financial Analyst to work cross-functionally with various different internal groups to understand their goals and translate them into workable analytic solutions. This includes data mining and the analysis of this data to accurately budget, forecast, and report for these groups. In order to successfully complete these tasks this individual will be expected to provide detailed reports, conduct ad-hoc projects, provide data feeds, build predictive models, and various other tasks.

Responsibilities:

· Lead finance contact for various technology departments, which consist of owning the budget, planning, forecasting and reporting activities for these areas
· Prepare and/or coordinate monthly management reporting packages including variance analysis, operational statistics, and other financial reports
· Creation of financial models to help support decision making
· Support capital planning activities with variance analysis by project
· Support the preparation for various investor inquiries
· Help prepare Board of Directors and other presentation materials
· Other ad-hoc projects as required
· This position reports to the Director of Financial Planning and Analysis and works closely with the Accounting team to provide decision support, financial analysis, planning and forecasting support for various technology departments
· The financial Analyst position requires a flexible individual with a mix of good analytical, communication and quantitative skills

Requirements:

· 5 plus years of experience as a financial or reporting analyst in a fast paced Finance/Accounting environment - telecommunications background is a plus
· Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships across all functional areas
· Proven analytical background with the ability to work hands on with data, spreadsheets, and models
· Ability to develop comprehensive financial models to aid in decision making and evaluation of initiatives
· Possess a strong competency in building Excel models (pivot tables, charts, graphs), working with Access and Power-point, as well as analyzing large sets of data.
· Experience with budgeting, planning and variance analysis
· Superior written and verbal communication skills
· Proven ability to work independently and with all levels of the organization
· Bachelors Degree in Finance, Accounting or similar field required, MBA preferred
