At present, we have an excellent opportunity for a Cost Accountant in our Englewood, CO location.

This position is responsible for developing; implementing and/or maintaining cost accounting standards for Arrow Electronics, Inc. various value added and manufacturing facilities. Collects data, allocates costs and prepares reports on labor, equipment, depreciation, assembly or other operating expenses, ensuring that established procedures are followed. The cost accountant will be responsible for providing reports and detailed cost data analyzing our manufacturing processes with focus on inefficient use of labor, productivity, streamlining processes and reducing total expenses. Slight emphasis on pricing value added services to Arrow’s customer base.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Evaluate data to determine the cost of a manufacturing process including labor, supplies and other

cost components.

- Determine influential cost drivers and methodologies for applying costs to products and business

verticals.

- Analyze changes in design, manufacturing methods or services provided to determine the effect on

costs.

- Prepare monthly and annual expense forecasts and or budgets that incorporate current business

trends and condiditons.

- Perform monthly business reviews and analysis or results while providing recommendations for

improvement.

- Preparation of monthly value added manufacturing P&L’s with Sales, Margin and expense analysis.

Minimum Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; and 6 - 8 years of progressive experience as a cost accountant and or analyst in a manufacturing or distribution industry.

- Activity Based Costing experience is a must.

- Ability to work with senior level management.

- Knowledge of financial statements.

- Ability to understand and infer relationships between metrics and the operational and financial processes.

- Advanced Excel skills (financial - operational model building, design and creation of robust interactive reporting and analysis tools).

- Committed, detail oriented, self starter with strong problem solving and interpersonal skills.

- Project management skills - be able to organize, lead and deliver on initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience with accounting processes and General Ledger.

- Experience with Oracle Accounting is a STRONG plus.
