Director of Financial Aid

As Director of Financial Aid (DFA) at Texas Careers - San Antonio Campus, you will be responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of the department. As DFA you will report to the Executive Director of the college and participate as an important member of the management team. You will be responsible for administering, determining eligibility and processing student financial aid to maintain positive cash flow for the college.

What you will do:
1. Recruit, supervise, and oversee training of the financial aid staff
2. Oversee Title IV federal student financial aid programs as well as state and alternative loans.
3. Maintain compliance with financial aid regulatory requirements as it pertains to federal, state, accrediting agencies and the Home Office
4. Coordinates activities and teamwork with the staff in conjunction with the admissions process.

Qualifications Requirements:
5 or more years experience in Title IV federal student financial aid
Management experience is required.
Proficiency in verification and student eligibility criteria,
Excellent customer service and organizational skills
Attention to detail with the capability to multi-task.
Computer knowledge is recommended, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
